We are pleased to announce that Richmond Centre is proceeding with Phase 2 of the Rebirth of Retail.
Our next phase of redevelopment is multi-phased. It will include moving the existing food court to the upstairs area to where the theatres were located, while back-filling the area below with general merchandise retailers.
The new eating area will be known as “The Dining Terrace” and reflect an elevated – both physically and in terms of ambiance – dining experience that will be beyond the mall food court experience as it is today. There will be 15 food retailers, 2 island units for showcase cooking and 1 restaurant. Seating capacity will increase by 100-150 seats and numerous skylights will infuse the area with natural light. There will be many additional features implemented into the design. We are excited to be creating this new experience for you, our customer.
Demolition of the theatre space has already begun, and it is expected that The Dining Terrace will open Christmas 2012. Main level retailers will be opening spring/summer 2013.
